Canon K-7 Club
What is the Canon K-7 Club?
The Canon K-7 Club is an after-school and summer program for youth ages 5 to 12. Please check our summer page for summer program information.
Our Club's mission is "to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens."
When is Club open?
Club is open on Monday-Friday from 3:15PM to 6:00PM for after-school care.
We are also open on no-school Fridays from 7:45AM to 6:00PM.
Where is Club located?
Our after-school program is housed inside of the Canon Exploratory School, located at 2855 North 9th Street in Canon City.
Pick ups and drop offs will be done at door #24 at the North end of the building.
Who can attend Club?
The Canon K-7 Club serves ages 5-12.
Rules
All members are informed of Club rules on their first day of attendance. Parents will be provided a copy of our parent handbook. If you would like more information about our rules or policies before attending, you may give our office a call at 719-345-4038.
Fees
All members are charged a $25 annual registration fee to become a member.
The cost of after-school care is $125 per month. We have a sibling disount available of $30 off for the first sibling, then $40 off for all other siblings.
If you anticipate your youth having minimal attendance days, we also offer a drop-in fee of $25 per day, per child.
Financial assistance is available for those who qualify through the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP).
What is included?
The $125 monthly fee allows youth to attend Monday-Friday, from 3:15PM to 6:00PM, as well as on no-school Fridays from 7:45AM to 6:00PM. A snack is included each day. Breakfast and lunch are served on no-school Fridays.
Transportation is available from RE-1 schools. The only school that we DO NOT provide transportation for is McKinley School.
In addition to child care, the Boys and Girls Club of Fremont County provides much more for your youth. While members are at our Clubs, they take part in various evidence-based programs designed around five core areas: Education & Career, Leadership & Service, Health & Wellness, the Arts, and Sports & Recreation. These programs are designed to improve academic success, healthy lifestyles, good character and citizenship, which contribute to a fun, positive and productive Club experience! We have nationally trained and trauma informed staff who give youth a place to belong.

Benefits of Boys & Girls Club
Safe Environment
In every community, many young people are left to find their own recreation and companionship after school. An increasing number of youth are at home with no adult care or supervision. The K-7 Club provides a supervised, safe and positive environment to help youth grow and feel cared for.
Life-Enhancing Programs
Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of young people by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, and influence. Our programs are designed to improve academic success, good character and citizenship and healthy lifestyles, which contribute to a fun, positive and productive Club experience!
