Club Programs

While members are at our Clubs, they take part in various evidence-based programs designed around five core areas: Education & Career, Leadership & Service, Health & Wellness, the Arts, and Sports & Recreation. These programs are designed to improve academic success, healthy lifestyles, good character and citizenship, which contribute to a fun, positive and productive Club experience!

Character and Citizenship

Keystone Club
A selective program for those 14 and older, Keystone builds leadership skills by challenging youth to “develop many virtues and characteristics of posit ive, ethical leaders.” Members serve as leaders in the Club, earning opportunities to fill officer positions, plan and implement Teen Nights, and operate the Keystone Cafe.
Torch Club
Ages 11-13 may join Torch Club to develop their leadership and teamwork skills. Members of Torch fill officer positions and focus on community service projects.
Youth of the Year
Members can compete for the prestigious Youth of the Year title. This program highlights academic achievements, contributions to the community and overall character. Our local winner will go on to compete at the state level and have the opportunity to advance to regional and national levels. Many benefits, such as scholarship opportunities, come with the title of Youth of the Year.
Community Service
Club members regularly help in the community with a variety of public service opportunities. If you would like to propose a service project for your organization, business, etc., please call us at (719) 345-4038 or email programs@bgcfremont.org.

Healthy Lifestyles

Triple Play Daily Challenges

Members spend at least 30 minutes each day engaged in fun activities designed to teach movement skills as well as develop social emotional skills. Members take a pre- and post-test to track their progress, including setting their own fitness goal(s).

Positive Action

This evidence-based program is designed to empower greatness by teaching youth to understand and manage themselves. Age appropriate curriculum addresses all three of our priority outcomes, centering on the philosophy that "we feel good about ourselves when we do positive actions, and there is a positive way to do everything."

SMART Moves

A nationally acclaimed prevention program, this uses various activities designed to hone members' decision-making and critical-thinking skills, as well as teaches them how to avoid and/or resist alcohol, tobacco, other drugs and premature sexual activity.

Internet Safety

Members are required to complete our internet safety course before using the computer lab. It is an interactive way of teaching young people how to be safe, recognize dangers, and act as good digital citizens when online.

Meal Program

Club members and visitors are provided a daily snack at the 4th Street Teen Club. We partner with RE-1 to provide the daily snack(s) for the Canon K-7 Club, including breakfast and lunch on no-school Fridays.
